Dopo 7 anni di silenzio i Portishead annunciano il loro ritorno sulle scene. Geoff Barrow e Beth Gibbons hanno confermato di voler preparare il terzo album, il successore dell'omonimo "Portishead".

Contemporaneamente hanno annunciato la partecipazione ad un concerto per la raccolta fondi per le vittime dello Tsunami. L'evento si svolgerà al Bristol Carling Academy (ovviamente a Bristol) il 19 Febbraio.

Oltre a loro i protagonisti saranno Massive Attack, The Coral, Robert Plant.
