Ronnie James Dio è deceduto oggi (16 Maggio) dopo una lunga lotta contro il cancro. A darne la notizia la moglie / manager Wendy Dio dopo varie voci di smentita direttamente sulla pagina ufficiale di Facebook:

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.

Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes

before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he

was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have

all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal...

Ronnie aveva 67 anni, nome d’arte di James Padovano. Ha cantato nei Rainbows, Black Sabbath (oggi rinominati Heaven & Hell per rimarcare la differenza con il periodo Ozzy) e ha avuto una lunga carriera solista.
