Finiti un po' in sordina pur essendo una delle band fondamentali del decennio precedente (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, TNT e Tortoise sono i dischi definitivi) i Tortoise, da Chicago, stanno per dare alle stampe il loro nuovo album, il sesto, per Thrill Jockey.

Beacons Of Ancestorship arriva ben cinque anni dopo "It's All Around You" e uscirà il 23 Giugno, ma Thrill Jockey pubblicherà per il Record Store Day (18 Aprile) un brano nella compilation Records Toreism.
