Jamie Walters è un musicista di Cleveland che nel 2003 ha formato i Midnight per tributare il suo amore per l'heavy metal primordiale. Dopo svariate produzioni scalcinate comprese autoproduzioni, cassette e split (Nunslaughter, Abigail, Toxic Holocaust...) e tre album per Hells Headbangers, Jamie approda per Metal Blade.

Un traguardo che fa molto 1985, esattamente come il sound espresso in "Rebirth By Blasphemy": speed metal e proto-trash con in testa e nelle dita Venom e Motorhead, ovvero i padrini del metal estremo. Qualche canzone vagamente punk e qualche ritornello vagamente orecchiabile rendono il sound ancora più ottantiano. Se avete vissuto gli anni del tape-trading non perdetelo per nulla al mondo. Tutti gli altri dovrebbero capire se rivolgersi agli originali o ad un ottimo interprete.
