Scoprii i Possessor alcuni anni fa grazie alla ormai defunta Graven Earth Records che pubblicò la cassetta dell'ottimo "Dead By Dawn" nel 2016. Complici le miliardi di distrazioni quotidiane li persi completamente di vista salvo scoprire che nel frattempo hanno pubblicato altri tre dischi, compreso questo "Damn The Light".

Possessor suonano un oscuro e potente "underground metal" di scuola Celtic Frost/Motorhead ma suonato con piglio moderno alla High On Fire. Metal selvaggio, sporco e scorretto con gli obbligatori sampler di film horror e cattive influenze che spaziano da Melvins, Mastodon, Electric Wizard, Entombed, Bongzilla, Darkthrone. Alla batteria troviamo Nathan Perrier dei Capricorns e 11Paranoias. Si, sono inglesi e martellano come si deve. Se amate questo tipo di metal (il mio preferito) fatelo vostro.
