King Coffey, fondatore della leggendaria etichetta Trance Syndicate e batterista dei Butthole Surfers, si è unito a Craig Clouse dei Todd e a Nate Cross dei Shit And Shine formando i USA/Mexico. Come ospiti troviamo Kevin Whitley dei Cherubs e George Dishner dei Spray Pants. Se siete pratici del genere conoscerete a menadito tutte queste band (o almeno due o tre) quindi non vi sarà difficile capire come suonano i USA/Mexico. In ogni caso eccovi la soluzione: noise rock acido influenzato dallo sludge. "Matamoros" è un trip rumoroso e frastornante adatto ai fan dell'anti-hardcore e di tutto quello che ha sempre supportato King Coffey. Niente proclami politici alla Idles, niente pigrizia patinata alla Viagra Boys: solo pesantissimo noise rock condito da umorismo di bassa lega. Adorabili.
