Dopo il successo degli australiani Amyl And the Sniffers Londra risponde violentemente con Chubby And the Gang. Se i primi, guidati dall'estroversa e sensuale Amyl, sono una bomba di punk rock garage, gli inglesi sono un furibondo team di pericolosi e divertenti teppisti punk: entrambi i dischi fanno della scorrettezza il loro punto di forza, ma le similitudini finiscono qui.

"Speed Kills" dura poco più di 25 minuti e contiene dodici canzoni che si potrebbero definire come un incontro fra i primi Damned e i Motorhead con una massiccia dose di hardcore e oi. Canzoni orecchiabili, veloci, violente e proletarie. L'anno è appena iniziato ma sono sicuro che Chubby And The Gang conquisteranno lo stereo di tutti i punk per l'intero 2020.
