Qualcuno di voi, ci posso scommettere, sogna una versione 2004 di Nick Drake. Oppure vorrebbe che i dischi solista di Frusciante fossero qualcosa di diverso da un vezzo di una rockstar miliardaria. A voi viene in aiuto il secondo disco di Devendra Banhart. "Rejoicing The Hands" è una raccolta di 16 fragilissimi bozzetti acustici di chitarra, piano e una voce timida e gentile. Immaginatevi Daniel Johnston senza turbe psichiche, Neil Young che decide di fare un disco "indie", Frusciante che non è mai entrato nei RHCP e il figlio di Nick Drake. Mescolatele assieme queste fantasie e avrete questo piccolo grande capolavoro di scrittura.
