In seguito si specializzerà nel lato estremo ma mai scontato del metal, con un occhio di riguardo verso quello che si definisce post-hardcore. Quindi se in principio si parlava di Anal Cunt, Amorphis, Repultion, Convulse, la label negli anni si affinerà pubblicando anche lavori di Tribes Of Neurot, Neurosis, Merzbow, Today Is The Day, Unsane, Soilent Green, Bongzilla, Swans, Nasum, Nile, Dillinger Escape Plan, Brutal Truth, Mastodon, High On Fire, Alabama Thunder Pussy, Burnt By The Sun, The End, Zeke, Dysrhythmia, Origin, Don Caballero, 27, dimostrando qualità e versatilità uniche nel panorama delle etichette. In questi anni, Relapse, è diventata un'etichetta di culto, da seguire in ogni sua uscita.
